2014 - Extensive repair and restoration of rusted and damaged cast iron lattice window frames and antique glass
This project involved extensive repair and restoration to the original cast iron lattice windows. We removed the cast iron frames and brought them back to our workshop. Here they were deglazed and the metal frames were cleaned back to the bare metal and repainted. The windows were then reglazed using as much of the retained original glass pieces as possible. Where pieces were broken, period style Victorian sheet glass was cut and used as replacement. The difference between pre and post restoration is remarkable and will last for many years.
